PERILS releases second loss estimate for Windstorm Goretti
PERILS has today disclosed its second loss estimate for extratropical windstorm “Goretti”, also known as “Elli”. The storm affected southwest England, northern France and Belgium on 8 and 9 January 2026.
PERILS’ second estimate, which provides a snapshot of the insurance market loss three months after the event, is EUR 479 million. The majority of the losses occurred in France.
