EUR 467m - PERILS releases first loss estimate for Windstorm Goretti
PERILS has today disclosed its initial loss estimate for extratropical windstorm “Goretti”, also known as “Elli”. The storm affected southwest England, northern France and Belgium on 8 and 9 January 2026.
PERILS’ initial estimate of the insurance market loss is EUR 467 million. The majority of the losses occurred in France.
