CAD 923m – CatIQ and PERILS release third industry loss estimate for the severe convective storms in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Canada, of June 2026
CatIQ and PERILS have today disclosed the third industry loss estimate for the severe convective storm (SCS) outbreak which affected the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba on 9 and 10 June 2026.
The third estimate of the insurance market loss is CAD 923 million. Losses were mainly caused by large hail, flash flooding, and strong wind gusts.
