AUD 2,950m - PERILS releases second loss estimate for Queensland and New South Wales Severe Convective Storms of late November 2025
PERILS has today disclosed its second industry loss estimate for the severe convective storms which affected South-East Queensland and New South Wales with exceptionally large hail, strong winds and heavy rainfall from 21 to 27 November 2025.
The second estimate, which provides a snapshot of the insurance market three months post-event, is AUD 2,950 million. This industry loss figure is based on loss data collected from affected insurers and covers property and motor claims.
