PERILS has today released its Q3 update of the PERILS EXTENDED industry loss database.

In the latest update, a total of seven Cat events from the past three years were reviewed. The status of following events has changed:

Event with initial loss estimate:

• 2026 Kumamoto Earthquake, Japan, Jul 2026

Event with final loss estimate:

• Valencia Floods, Spain, Oct 2024

Event with changed loss estimate:

• Windstorm Kristin, Portugal, Jan 2026

Event under investigation:

• Colombia Earthquake, Aug 2026
   

Please note that events with both a CORE and EXTENDED component (e. g. Central European Floods 2024) follow the regular CORE update schedule.
