CAD 491 m – CatIQ and PERILS release third industry loss estimate for June/July severe storm events in Ontario and Quebec
CatIQ and PERILS have today disclosed the third industry loss estimate for the severe thunderstorm event that affected southern Ontario and Quebec between June 30 and July 3, 2026.
The third estimate of the insurance market loss is CAD 491 million, with personal property claims making up the majority of the loss.
