CAD 671m – CatIQ and PERILS release second industry loss estimate September severe storm outbreak in Ontario
CatIQ and PERILS have today disclosed the second industry loss estimate for the severe thunderstorm event that affected southern Ontario on 2 and 3 September 2026.
The second estimate of the insurance market loss is CAD 671 million. This compares to the initial loss estimate of CAD 563 million.
