AUD 1,501m - PERILS releases third loss estimate for Australia East Coast Severe Convective Storms of late October 2025
PERILS has today disclosed its third industry loss estimate for the severe convective storms which affected South East Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria with large hail, strong winds and heavy rainfall from 26 October to 1 November 2025.
In its third loss report, provided in the form of a detailed industry loss footprint, PERILS estimates that the event has cost the insurance industry a total of AUD 1,501 million. This figure is based on loss data collected from affected insurers and covers the property and motor hull lines of business.
