EUR 586m - PERILS releases first loss estimate for Windstorm Nils

PERILS has today disclosed its initial loss estimate for extratropical cyclone “Nils”, also known as “Ulrike”. The storm affected the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie regions in southwest France from 11 to 13 February 2026.

PERILS’ initial estimate of the insurance market loss is EUR 586 million. The majority of the losses were caused by high winds.
