Events Investigated
For events which have the potential to cause in the countries covered by PERILS a market-wide insured property loss of more than EUR 200m, PERILS investigates whether to fully capture such an event (Status: “Under Investigation”).
If an investigation leads to the view that the EUR 200m threshold will not be exceeded, PERILS will close the investigation (Status: “Non-qualifying Event”).
Should such an investigation lead to the view that it is likely that the EUR 200m threshold will be exceeded, PERILS will capture data from the event and report according to the PERILS reporting schedule (Status: “Qualifying Event”).
If an investigation leads to the view that the EUR 200m threshold will not be exceeded, PERILS will close the investigation (Status: “Non-qualifying Event”).
Should such an investigation lead to the view that it is likely that the EUR 200m threshold will be exceeded, PERILS will capture data from the event and report according to the PERILS reporting schedule (Status: “Qualifying Event”).
