PERILS releases final industry loss footprint for the 2023 New Zealand North Island Floods at NZD 2,230m
PERILS has today released its fourth and final loss estimate for the New Zealand North Island Floods, which occurred during the period of 27 January to 2 February 2023.
In its fourth and final loss report, provided in the form of a detailed industry loss footprint, PERILS estimates that the event has cost the insurance industry a total of NZD 2,230 million. This industry loss figure is based on detailed loss data collected from affected insurers.
