PERILS has today released its Q4 update of the PERILS EXTENDED industry loss database.

In the latest update, a total of eight Cat events from the past three years were reviewed. The following events have changed:

Initial loss estimate:

 • Hurricane Melissa, Caribbean, Oct 2025

Loss numbers were revised for four events:

• Myanmar/Thailand M7.7 EQ, Mar 2025

• Valencia Floods, Spain, Oct 2024

• Rio Grande do Sul Floods, South America, Apr-May 2024

• Noto Peninsula Mw 7.5 Earthquake, Japan, Jan 2024

One event is under investigation:

• Typhoon Senyar and monsoon floods, SE-Asia, Nov 2025
