CAD 3,293m – CatIQ and PERILS release industry loss update for the Calgary Hailstorm of 5 August 2024
CatIQ and PERILS have today released their fifth industry loss estimate for the Calgary Hailstorm of 5 August 2024.
In their fifth loss report, provided in the form of an industry loss footprint at high-resolution CRESTA zones , CatIQ and PERILS estimate that the event has cost the insurance industry a total of CAD 3,293 million. This industry loss figure is based on detailed loss data collected from affected insurers and covers the property and motor line of business.
