Due to the modest loss level of EUR 272m, as released by PERILS in its first loss report, PERILS has not carried out a 2nd round of data collection for extratropical windstorm Nadia (Malik). PERILS will issue its next loss estimate for this event on 29 July 2022, with loss data broken down by CRESTA zones and by property lines of business.
European windstorm Nadia (Malik) affected Scotland, Northern Europe and Germany from 29 to 30 January 2022. Despite very high gusts, in particular in Scotland and the west coasts of Norway and Jutland in Denmark, the resulting industry loss remained comparatively modest at EUR 272m.
